FAQ’s for Parents

Should I bring food for my child?

Please provide a peanut-free snack for your child. They will be running around and expending a lot of calories each day! We recommend and respectfully request that your child eat a hearty and healthy breakfast before camp each day.

What else do I need to bring my for my child?

Please bring a labeled tote bag or backpack with an extra change of clothes. FOR SUMMER: Some days we may do water play in the courtyard. It can be board shorts, t-shirt, etc. Towel is appreciated too. We recommend that your child start camp in their board shorts or clothes that can get wet and then change into their regular play clothes. They are welcome to change in any of our four bathrooms and we have plenty of camp counselors to assist any of our campers who need a helping hand. We recommend sunscreen as well. We will have some on hand, but if you have a specific brand you like, then please bring it (and label it).

What time should I drop off and pick up my child from camp?

Camp is 9:00-Noon daily. Drop off can be at 8:50 a.m. (but not before, please, as we are setting up) and a timely 12:00 noon pick-up is always requested in consideration of our regular class schedule and camp counselors.

What if my child has a medical condition/allergy?

Any medical allergies or medical notes, please let us know in advance. We will make every effort to be mindful and careful in that regard. Be sure to leave us an emergency phone number where we can contact you for any reason.

What should I do if my child is sick?

If your child is sick on any given day, respectfully keep them home out of consideration for others.

What kind of footwear should my child wear?

Please have your child wear flip flops or sandals that come off and on easily. We will be going from in and out of the dojo to the grassy courtyard, so socks and lace up shoes are not necessary.

Who will be looking after the kids?

We have AMAZING, competent, creative, and responsible camp counselors/leaders, The kids are going to make fast friends and have a blast together. They will do some activities as a group, but will be split by age so they are socially with their peers.
